Workplace Investigations
John has extensive human resources and employment law experience gained in both the public and private sectors. He has been involved in conducting workplace investigations for over twenty years.
As the California State University's Associate Vice Chancellor for Labor and Employee Relations, he headed the CSU's systemwide Equal Employment Opportunity and Whistleblower Protection Unit. This Unit was responsible for investigating all discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and whistleblower complaints made directly to the Office of the Chancellor. It was also the designated review body for all employee and student appeals from CSU campus determinations under its Title IX and DHR Executive Order processes.
On leaving the CSU, John then conducted attorney-led workplace investigations for the Californian Employer's Association before starting his legal practice, specializing in providing independent adjudication and factfinding services.
